      One of Lancelot Andrewes’ most admired works is his Preces Privatae (“Private Devotions”), a collection of devotions drawn from Scripture and ancient liturgies, mainly in Greek. These devotions have been translated into English. Andrewes was reported to have spent five hours each morning in prayer and according to some accounts, he died with this book in his Location: Exit Everhard if coming from I South Main St, North Canton, , (Ohio). Bishop Andrewes was one of the foremost Biblical scholars of his time. He also was one of the translators of the King James Version of the Bible and was King James' favorite preacher. The Devotions of Bishop Andrewes was originally entitled, Preces Privatae, which translates to "Private Devotions."5/5(2).
